Vistamar Sepia Malbec Reserva 2014 is made from grapes grown in the Maipo Valley that has deep, loamy soils of alluvial origin and a semi-arid Mediterranean climate with a range of temperatures, this allows the grapes to develop intense colour, aromas and textures as they ripen; Vistamar Sepia Malbec Reserva is a new and welcome addition to the Sepia Reserva line, all of the character of the Malbec, with its great fragrant expression, has been given free rein and has combined with the aromas of spice and toast aromas from the time spent in oak. Vistamar Sepia Malbec Reserva has the colour of deep black cherries with highlights of violets. On the nose is ripe fruit, with expressive aromas of blackberries, fresh sweet and sour cherries and blueberries, all perfectly blended with the refined vanilla notes that have resulted from the skilful integration with oak. The flavour is delightful, rich in fruit and medium-bodied. This wine is quite intricate and full of the tastes that reflect the same diversity of the rich ripe fruit that was revealed on the nose. Hints of caramel and creamy vanilla appear in tandem, as a result of its ageing in casks. The wine has a refined and a long pleasing finish.
