Emiliana Reserva Pinot Noir's smooth red fruit aromas are supported on the palate with subtle tannins, balanced acidity and a persistent finish. Vibrant and emphatic wild strawberry characters, combine with spice, cocoa and velvety tannins. This immensely appealing wine has a very gentle and soft silky finish. All in all a delicious, mouthwatering and delicate Pinot Noir. Emiliana is one of the world's most important producers of organic and biodynamic wines. They have 997 hectares under vine of which 923ha are certified as organic. The Bio Bio region has a moderate, humid Mediterranean climate with warm days and cool nights prolonging the growing season. It has a higher rainfall than other Chilean regions which when combined with strong winds and extremes of temperature make for more challenging conditions than the more northerly Chilean regions. The grapes are gathered by hand and pressed at low temperature to get the colour and aromas without the harsh tannins. The fermentation is also relatively cool with gentle pumpovers. After fermentation 20% of the wine is aged in French oak for 6 months to add some complexity without compromising the fruit.
