Diavoletto, Sangiovese di Toscana is a fresh, juicy, unoaked Sangiovese from this excellent Montepulciano estate. A hint of sweet fruit develops into a medium to full-bodied palate with supple tannins and juicy fruit balanced by warm spice and pepper notes on the finish. The producer of this wine is Tenute Toscane which is part of the Baroncini wine family. The winemaker in charge of producing the wine is Andrea Mazzoni. The Tuscan vineyards where the Sangiovese is planted are at 400m above sea level are the soil is a clay with traces of limestone. The climate is mild with cold winters and warm summers, with rain concentrated in spring and autumn. The grapes are hand harvested before being fermented at a controlled 25C temperature for around 10 days. They then go through a malolactic fermentation in steel vats before bottling.
