O:TU Otuwhero Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc 2009
Intensely classic Marlborough nose of sweet grass, passionfruit, nettles and gooseberries underpinned with zesty lemon and lime characters. Focused on purity of fruit, a full bodied palate, rich and mouth-filling with great weight and balance. White peach, ripe greens, gooseberry and currants. Harmonious acid contributes to a very persistent finish complemented by classic Awatere Valley stony mineral characters and a hint of dried herb. Serve with shellfish, salads and seafood.

Mount Rosa Reserve Pinot Noir, Central Otago 2007
What can I say about this wine? Apart from - it is the best New World Pinot Noir I have tasted! It is a limited edition wine with only small amounts coming into the UK.
It is made from grapes from clone vines that have proved best suited to the Mt Rosa vineyard and it has been stored in selected barrels of mainly new French oak. This care and attention to detail has produced a wine with a rich and powerful nose full of black currant and dark chocolate. On the palate it continues with the dark berry fruits but adds a smooth, warm richness of texture to produce a wonderful mouth feel. It has a long, velvety and lifted finish. Well worth the money.

Mount Rosa Pinot Gris Central Otago 2008
This is beautifully produced by Dean Shaw, the Mt Rosa winemaker. It has a glorious nose, filled with warm spices and citrus. In the mouth it has a balance of peachy fruit and those warm spices with hints of biscuity yeast. A good finish that lasts well in the mouth. A great wine for drinking with far eastern foods.
