Chateau Bauduc Bordeaux Blanc Sec 2006
The house white at Gordon Ramsay's restaurants and a 'special selection' at Rick Stein's, this 2006 Bordeaux Blanc is arguably the best made so far. Crisp, dry and delicious, the wine is made from 95% sauvignon blanc and 5% barrel fermented sémillon from carefully cultivated vines near the Château. The grapes were picked before dawn to keep the flavours bright and fresh. A versatile wine with soft citrus flavour and a lovely balance: great as an aperitif or with all sorts of lighter meals including salads and fish, shellfish and starters.

Chateau Bauduc Bordeaux Supérieur Rouge 2001
An 80% merlot and 20% cabernet sauvignon blend from vines planted on the slopes around the château. 2003 was a hot, dry year and low yields were further decimated by hail on the night of 24th June. "In the Créon area virtually every grape has been destroyed" reported Decanter magazine. Well, not quite. The merlot grapes were hand picked in September and the cabernet in October, but there was a lot of labour for the tiny output. Ready to drink, a tasty, well-rounded claret.

Chateau Bauduc Clos des Quinze Premières Côtes de Bordeaux 2002
A 70% merlot, 30% carbernet blend, this can be drunk now or left a year as the tannins are still in evidence. 2002 was a tricky vintage until a lovely September saved the day. All the grapes were picked by hand and they were fussy about selection, so much so that they made less than half the permitted yield: 30hl/ha (hectolitres per hectare) compared to a legal limit of 63 hl/ha. We recommend you decant this traditionally styled claret before enjoying with roast lamb, a good steak or game.

Chateau Bauduc Clos des Quinze Premières Côtes de Bordeaux 2002
Chateau Bauduc Les Trois Hectares 2004
Les Trois Hectares is a limited release dry white wine that we think is more of a food wine than Bauduc’s regular, sauvignon blanc-style Bordeaux Blanc. Made from sémillon, it comes from a three hectare (seven acre) parcel of old vines that were planted in 1947. The juice from the hand picked grapes was fermented and then aged in French oak barrels. Aromatic, long and complex, it is listed at all the Ramsay restaurants and at Rick Stein’s. Less than 1000 cases made.

Chateau Moulin de Cantelaube Saint-Emilion Grand Cru 2001
This is a blend of 85% merlot and 15% cabernet franc from 30 year old vines from a small (7.5 hectare) property in Saint Emilion.
A fairly mature ruby, nice, even colour. The nose has green, weedy (in an nice way!) hedgerows and liquorice, together with loads of tobacco. Light and fresh on the attack, with good plummy red fruits. Very elegant and restrained. Good soft tannins round out a very attractive wine. Very Good Indeed.

Château Taillefer, Pomerol Rouge 2001
Château Taillefer was the first estate bought by Antoine Moueix in 1923. The vines are planted on sand and gravel and the wine develops lovely wood aromas, vanilla, toast and spices mingling with hints of crystallised black fruits. Supple and fine on the palate with smooth, nicely balanced tannins.
