Tishbi Special Reserve Sde Boker is a typical Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Perhaps reflecting the origin of the grapes in the Negev Desert, the wine is not so much earthy or herbal but instead is marked by distinct flavours of light olives and spices. The wine is full bodied, with tannins that integrate nicely. It also shows well focused and ripe black cherry and currant flavours, along with a very appealing long finish.Winery Notes:This complex wine is characterized by its especially rich and full body. It possesses a deep red colour with purple hues combined with black cherry, blackcurrant, ripe plums, violets, herbs with gentle hints of mint and oak. Its flavours display ripe black plums, mint and oak with nuances of dark chocolate. Its balanced acidity combines excellently with its smoky character derived from ageing in French oak, leaving a long lasting finish on the palate. The substantial measure of astringency and acidity in the wine allows an aging potential for the next five to ten years.
