California are now producing some very good Pinot Grigios to rival the ones from their Italian homeland. The Boulders Pinot Grigio Reserve is rich and full of flavour - something sadly lacking in some of the cheaper examples of this variety. It has lots of apple and citrus fruit flavours on the nose. These follow through to the palate where they combine with tropical fruits. It has a good length. Great for drinking on it's own but will go really well with lightly spiced chicken or meatier fish dishes.
