Ramon Cardova Rioja Crianza 2002 is made with 100% Tempranillo grapes. It has a wonderful ruby red colour with just a hint of terracotta around the rim. It has the aromas of cherries and wild berries but with a background of pepper and herbs. It has been aged in American oak for 12 months and had another 6 months in bottle before being released. This oak aging gives it hints of vanilla and cedar and a complexity that means it is a wonderful accompaniment to lamb and steak.
