Quinta del Conde Gran Reserva 2004 has a marked Mediterranean character from the Tempranillo. The climate gives the wine flavour, concentration and vitality and careful aging in American oak gives it complexity. Lots of ripe berry fruit and dark chocolate on both nose and palate. It is medium bodied with good length. Great wine but the supermarkets have nabbed all the production now!
