Las Moras Black Label Malbec 2008 is crafted from the best grapes from selected rows of the Las Moras vineyards. Las Moras Black Label Malbec is an exceptional wine that shows purity of fruit and a great complexity of aromas.These malbec grapes are grown at high altitude in the foothills of the Andes.They were very carefully hand picked during the first days of April when they had reached their full maturity.At the winery they underwent a long,cold maceration that resulted in a wine with a deep purple colour and bright tones.
There is an outstanding balance between fruit and wood;the wine displays notes of ripe plum,roasted coffee and chocolate.Aged in new French oak barrels for fifteen months followed by six months in bottle.Well structured with nice soft tannins.Las Moras Black Label Malbec matches perfectly with roasted red meats and ripe cheese but also stands beautifully on its own.
