Lagar do Castello Albariño 2008 is a wonderful example of an under rated grape variety. The Albariño grape is native to Galicia in the north west of Spain. This wine is full of sharp green apple and citrus flavours but with a biscuity edge that softens the acids. It is ideal with grilled fish, hard cheeses and antipasti but equally good for savouring on it's own. A personal favourite of the management!
