Kosher Wines

For many years kosher wines had a justifiably bad reputation. Those in the US were made largely from the Concord grape which was far from capable of producing even mediocre kosher wine let alone fine wines and, wines from Israel followed the need for kosher wine to be red, sweet and without any modicum of sophistication. Truth be known, these wines were not consumed by wine lovers but as sacramental wines. Such wines are still produced but are a bit of an oddity in the wine world and with kosher wines now being made from the most noble grape varieties in state of the art wineries by winemakers trained in the Old and New World there are no barriers between kosher wine production and the production of fine wine. Here you will find an evergrowing selection available on line.
