Herzog Selection Valflore VDP 2008 is a blend of Carignan and Grenache – both varieties being native to the region of Languedoc. It is dark in colour as would be expected from the Carignan but the blend has been vinified to produce a medium dry red wine rather than the heavily tannic wine you might expect from this blend.
