Doorly's XO has toffee, vanilla and mocha on the nose and a breathtaking palate of rich spice, sherry, sweet banana, vine fruit and raisins that develops into a fine finish with hints of orange peel.Very old rums are selected by the master blender to undergo a second maturation in oloroso Sherry casks to create a wonderfully elegant rum. R.L. Seale have been in the rum business since 1820 and the expertise has been passed from father to son, today the distillery produces rums for both the export and domestic market which are produced at the Foursquare Distillery, the site of a former sugar factory dating back to 1636. Today's plant is one o the most modern and efficient distilleries in the world and is also very environmentally friendly.
