Cranswick Estate Semillon Sauvignon 2008 is a blend of 85% Semillon and 15% Sauvignon Blanc. Both varieties were sourced from vineyards on sandy loam soils. The grapes were night harvested to keep the temperature low and were cold fermented separately in stainless steel with no oak to interfere with the crisp and fresh fruit. Cranswick Estate Semillon Sauvignon 2008 has refreshing notes of lemons, limes and tropical fruits on the nose with a crisp, dry citrussy palate with a lovely balanced acidity. There is a minerality to the palate and it has a medium to good length. Can be served equally well on its own or with salads, fish, shellfish or poultry.
