Chateau de Parenchere Cuvee Raphael 2007 is a blend of 50% Merlot 50% Cabernet Sauvignon. Cuvee Raphael is always a very dense, very concentrated wine with elegant tannins that stand out, but are mellow and smooth. They are elegantly woody, but not excessively so, to leave plenty of room for the fruit. Being more concentrated than the traditional blend, it can be kept much longer. It can also be appreciated from its first year of bottling, but will better express its elegance and complexity from its fourth year of ageing.
