Chateau de Claribes Marpeau 2005 is Helen and Nick's premier wine made from predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon (80%) with a small amount of Merlot (20%) to add balance. The wine has a good tannic structure which means it will age well and just get better and better over the first five to ten years. It's full of complex dark fruit flavours with hints of chocolate and liquorice. We were persuaded to make this blend by all the people who tried the wine in the first year, it complements spicy food really well and, surprisingly, is fantastic with chocolate! Allergen free and very low in sulphites.
