Chateau Bauduc Clos des Quinze Premieres Cotes de Bordeaux 2002 is a 70% merlot, 30% carbernet blend, this can be drunk now or left a year as the tannins are still in evidence. 2002 was a tricky vintage until a lovely September saved the day. All the grapes were picked by hand and they were fussy about selection, so much so that they made less than half the permitted yield: 30hl/ha (hectolitres per hectare) compared to a legal limit of 63 hl/ha. We recommend you decant this traditionally styled claret before enjoying with roast lamb, a good steak or game.
