Classic Loire style. An excellent mouthful of dry, herbaceous, grassy Sauvignon with good weight. Slightly spicy with apple and ripe mineral citrus flavour.

Sancerre Eric Montintin 2007
Marvellous Sancerre with a nose showing mild hints of butterscotch, leading into clean mineral notes. Not too acidic but nicely dry. Very elegant.

Sancerre Red Domaine Franck Millet Rouge 2003
Less well known than the white wine of the region this is a fabulous soft red. Deceptively strong in alcohol but with smooth tannins and a distinctive fruit length. An excellent example of the best that Sancerre red wine can be.

Sancerre White Domaine de la Chezatte 2004
This elegant, aromatic dry white is made from the Sauvignon Blanc grape. It has a light honey colour. There are fresh grassy characters superbly balanced with ripe fruit (gooseberries) that give it a wonderful depth and refinement. A very well balanced wine.

Pouilly Fumé Dom. Chauveay La Mevennaise 2003
Made from the Sauvignon grape this wine gets it's distinctive smokey aroma from the flinty soils of the area. It has a beautiful depth of colour and a full, rich flavour of gooseberries and citrus on the palate. It is fuller and richer than other wines from the region.

La Famiglia Fabiano's new Prosecco has been named after the address of the very first Fabiano wine business, Via Castello 4357, just off St Mark's Square in Venice.
It's a wonderful prosecco at a smashing price. Pale straw colour with greenish hues and a light, persistent mousse, it has a floral and delicate peach character on the nose and expressive fruit flavours on the palate.
This business, which is still run by the family (now under the custodianship of Alessandro - but still 'enjoying' the watchful eye of his father), has produced something which is the essence of Venice!
