Château de Claribés Rosé 2006
What can we say, its strawberries and cream in a glass. This is Helen and Nick's first rosé and rather indulgently they used Merlot and a bit of Cabernet Franc from one of the 50 year old vineyards. It was harvested at night to keep the grapes cold, placed in a cooled vat for six hours to extract the cherry pink colour, gently pressed then cool fermented. The result is a wine that is clean and fresh yet lingers on the mouth for a lot longer than you expect from a rosé. We’ve been drinking this since Christmas. It instantly transports us to hot summer days. A word of warning, it’s high on alcohol for a rosé and very moreish.
Allergen free and very low in sulphites.

Château de Claribés Sauvignon Blanc 2006
The grapes are picked by hand whilst still cold and make it to the tank 10 minutes after being picked. A pneumatic press and cool fermentation is used to capture all the fruit flavours and exotic aroma that Sauvignon has to offer. The wine is fresh, very clean on the palate and has a very balanced level of acidity. The exotic fruit aromas are so good you can’t help but keep inhaling from the glass.

Chateau Leon, Premieres Cotes de Bordeaux 2006
Ch. Leon is the second wine of Ch. Carignan. Like Ch. Carignan the wine is made from the traditional Bordeaux grape varieties, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc. The care taken during harvesting, along with the expertise of Philippe Pieraerts in selecting the cuvees, ensures the exceptionaly high quality of this chateau bottled wine from vintage to vintage. Can be cellared for up to 5 years.

Château Preuillac, Médoc Cru Bourgeois Rouge 2001
The grapes are handpicked and the wine is matured in French oak for twelve months. This vintage, made of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and has not undergone any fining or filtration.
This great grand Cru Medoc can be kept for up to 10 years or can be drunk young after being allowed to breathe for a while.
