Another classic Australian blend. This produces a deep, rich ruby red wine that has the signature blackcurrant aromas of the Cabernet and the spice of the Shiraz. The fruit comes from both Margaret River and Frankland River vineyards. The grapes had an extended maceration time to soften and broaden the tannins as well as extract lots of dark, rich colour. The blend of 88% Cabernet and 12% Merlot spends 6 months in both new and used American oak barrels to add complexity. It has aromas of plum, blackberry and hints of violet. The palate is intense with black cherry accents, a velvety smoothness and a long lingering finish.
